          Duties and responsibilities to include:

          What we need from you:

           Motivated, positive and works well within a team environment.

           Passionate about the health industry or willingness to learn about the different services we offer.

           Previous experience working in a medical or allied health reception or administrative role (preferred but not essential)

           Strong communication skills oral and written (able to relate to a wide population, children, elderly, parents etc)

      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           Strong organisation skills, self-direction and attention to detail.
          &#xD;

    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           Excellent problem-solving skills with strong initiative to work without direct supervision.
          &#xD;

    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           Create and review processes to increase efficiency in the running of the clinic. 
          &#xD;

      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           Previous experience using Cliniko (preferred but not essential)
          &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           Ability to be flexible at short notice to cover leave and illness is desirable.

          The role of your physiotherapist is to:

          Drink plenty of water

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
          Staying hydrated can help reduce muscle fatigue and reduce the risk of injury. Water is what helps thin the blood and move nutrients and oxygen through the body. That's why it's crucial to drink a lot of water after an injury or surgery, so that these cell-repairing nutrients can be easily brought to the recovering area.
          &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
          Follow any advice we have given you
         &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          The Physio's professional advice is generally given to expediate the recovery time frames and to avoid exacerbation of your injury.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
          Eg.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           Use hot/cold packs where required.
          &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           Follow-up with your GP or surgeon
          &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;

           Continuing wearing a brace.
          &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;

      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

          Rest and recovery
         &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
          It's such an important step to allow your body to adequately rest at night time.As we sleep, muscles and tissues rejuvenate and repair. This is possible due to increased blood flow in our bodies. This increased blood flow brings along oxygen and nutrients that help recover and repair muscles and regenerate cells.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
          Do your homework &amp;amp; stay active
         &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
          Exercise &amp;amp; stretching is a fundamental part of your rehab. Statistically, patients who adhere to their at home exercise program are more likely to achieve their goals and maintain strength and physical function. By continuing your program you reduce the risk of re-injury or unnecessary flare-ups.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
          Be strict with yourself and set aside time to GET IT DONE ;)
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
          If you need your exercise program updated, follow-up with your Physio. One session a month is way better than seeing your physio multiple times a week for an injury.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
          Take note of unusual pain
         &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

          A Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan or as it's formerly called the Enhanced Primary Care Program (EPC) is a program aimed at patients suffering from chronic pain and other various acute conditions.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
          A CDM or EPC referral allows you to have up to 5 allied health services within the calendar year and is valid for a 12-month period. If you think you may be eligible for this program please discuss this option with your GP at your next visit. If approved by your GP, please bring along all of your documents to your appointment so we can get started.

      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

          Is the appointment free?

          While we would love to help you out with free treatment, unfortunately we cannot bulk bill Medicare for Physiotherapy at our clinic, so there will always be a gap payment.

          How does the Medicare rebate process work?
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

          At our clinic, the first step is to pay the full fee upfront; But don’t worry, if you have an EFTPOS card that is connected to either a savings or cheque account we can process the $55.10 rebate back into your account from Medicare. It usually arrives in your account within 48hrs.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

          We all know that we should aim for at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day... Right? Exercise can make us feel better – more energy, a better mood, feel more relaxed and sleep better.

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
          People with desk jobs are typically at greater risk of developing health issues related to excessive sedentary time.Too much inactivity can weaken the muscles over time, which is bad news for anyone who has to sit at a desk for over eight hours a day. Doing some desk exercises, no matter how minimal, allows you to engage in dynamic movements that keep your muscles in use throughout the day.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
          Pick several stretches each half hour which will take about a minute, holding each stretch gently for about 5 seconds.

          4. Apply heat/ice

          When something hurts, what will make it feel better: ice or heat?

          While ice is usually preferred for headaches, moist heat or a heat wrap can relax neck spasms that contribute to headaches.

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

          How to safely apply ice and heat
         &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          You can apply ice and heat in lots of ways. Experts generally recommend up to 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off: 
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           Ice packs: Frozen peas or corn, ice cubes in a baggie or frozen gel pack. You can ice beyond 48 hours, until swelling, tenderness or inflammation are gone.
          &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           Ice massage: Freeze water in a Dixie cup, peel back the top, and massage the tender area until it’s numb. (Best for targeted icing after injury or for areas too awkward for ice packs, like the elbow or heel).
          &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           Cold masks: Place a cold mask, available at chemists, over your eyes or lay a towel soaked in cold water over your forehead and temples.
          &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           Moist heat: Enjoy a bath, shower or spa using warm, not hot, water 32 to 37 degress C.
          &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           Heating pads, great for lower back pain: To avoid burns, remove heating pads if the area becomes uncomfortably warm.
           &#xD;
        &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/ul&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;

          5. Beware the post lockdown return to sport
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           I know you're so very keen and eager to get back into sport or daily exercise... but we need to minimise risk of injury as we return to sport and exercise.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
          Your body needs to adapt slowly to increased work loads after being off for so long. Make sure you increase your intensity and duration of exercise/sport gradually. 
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
          Instead of pulling out the boots and going straight into your first game, make sure to plan out an exercise regime that you can start 6-8 weeks before.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;h3&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
          6. Seek help
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h3&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
           "I thought it would get better" - We hear this line so often.

          It is important to understand that your pain levels do not need to be excruciating. Lower level pains such as frequent nagging pains and dull headaches are a very common reason to see a physio. Don’t let these nagging problems drag on for months or years, when there is something you can do about it today – see your physio.

          The Action team is taking a much-needed break and closing the clinic between Christmas and the New Year. We're excited to be spending time with our families after such a crazy year.

          Leading up to Christmas our opening times remain the same, however, we will be closing up early on the 24th of December.

          Appointments are still available and if you have any concerns regarding your injury we encourage you to come and see us prior to the Christmas break. This is also a good opportunity to use up any remaining health fund or Medicare EPC rebate before Jan 1st when they will reset.

          At this time every year, we see a spike in certain injuries. Here are some tips and pointers to consider:
          &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
          Do your homework - Injuries don't take holidays.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          If you have a prescribed routine of exercises, stretches, icing, etc to manage a particular condition, make sure you continue with this over the holiday period. Every January we see an increase in people presenting to physiotherapy with injury “flare-ups” due to taking a holiday from their injury management routine.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
          Some things should be left to the kids
         &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          Every year we hear some impressive (&amp;amp; sometimes disastrous) injury stories of adults mucking around with kids toys. So, if you are going to be tempted to play with your child’s new Christmas present, make sure that it can tolerate your weight &amp;amp; perhaps think about the last time you did something like that (e.g. riding a skateboard for the first time in 20+ years often results in broken arms!).
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
          Get at least 30 mins Exercise a day
         &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          The Christmas period can be a wonderful time of fun, family, food, drink &amp;amp; relaxation. See if you can find some time to get some exercise in. You may even have more time than normal to go for a walk, a bike ride or a swim down at the beach. Exercise is a great way to keep the body moving well.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;

          Alcohol can be a major factor of many injuries over holiday periods. With alcohol consumption comes impaired judgement, reduced steadiness, in-coordination &amp;amp; reduced inhibitions. This combination is perfect for all manor of injuries. So without trying to sound like the Christmas Grinch, perhaps think about what activities you do and take care if you choose to drink this Christmas.

          I like to keep myself physically busy with road cycling and mountain biking. I believe in keeping a healthy body and mind with all forms of exercise from gym, functional training and recreational sporting activities. When I’m not being physically active the remainder of my time is spent with my family and friends eating out or hiking or exploring the outdoors. A hobby I enjoy is roasting my own coffee or experimenting with cooking up different meals. 
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

          What made you want to become a Physiotherapist?

          I had an interest in the functioning and mechanics of the human body. I was looking for a profession where I could be physically active and educate people with the benefits of exercise. Taking this into account it lead me down the path of physiotherapy which allowed me to improve my knowledge of the human body improve my physical capabilities and help others achieve their goals by overcoming their injuries or improving their knowledge. 
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

          4 year honour degree at The University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. One Year Post graduate course with an interest in Orthopaedic Manipulative Physiotherapy Variety of Courses with an interest in Musculoskeletal injuries predominantly in spinal injuries.

          I wish I was here to tell you we can help with the sore nipples, unfortunately that comes with the territory. BUT, there are a few common inflammatory conditions that physiotherapy can assist with recovery. 
         &#xD;

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
          Common inflammatory conditions of lactating breasts
          &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
          Engorgement
         &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          Breast engorgement occurs when the milk comes in between two to four days after the baby is born. The breast can be hard and swollen which may restrict the flow of milk by compressing the ducts. This can make it difficult for the baby to attach and feed well. 
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
          What you can do to relieve the discomfort of engorged breasts:
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           Continuing breastfeeding on the effected side. Feeding on demand when the baby cues can help the milk flow. Change sides each time you begin a new feed.
          &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/ul&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           Hand expressing small amount of milk before the feeds can relieve the fullness in breasts. If this is uncomfortable then you can also stimulate some milk to flow by placing heat packs before the feeds for few minutes or having a hot shower.
          &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/ul&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           Cold packs can be used after the feeds as this helps to reduce the swelling. 
          &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/ul&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
          Blocked ducts and Mastitis
         &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          Mastitis is usually the result of a blocked milk duct that hasn't cleared. Some of the milk banked up behind the blocked duct can be forced into nearby breast tissue, causing the tissue to become inflamed. The inflammation is called mastitis. Infection may or may not be present. 
          &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
          If you think you have mastitis, see your doctor.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

           Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
          &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           Rest as much as possible.
          &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
        
           Physiotherapy treatment consisting of Therapeutic Ultrasound, and effleurage or draining massage to clear the ducts.
          &#xD;
      &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           Seek medical help
          &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

          How does therapeutic ultrasound work?
         &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          Therapeutic ultrasound is used to reduce pain and inflammation as well as increase circulation. The ultrasound machine delivers sound waves to the body that heat and provide a micro-massage to the breast tissue. This unclogs the ducts and fosters breast drainage and the gradual reduction of signs and symptoms. 
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
          It’s important to bring your baby with you for treatment if possible as the baby helps clear the blockage once the ultrasound and massage have loosened it.

          Spent the last 21 years as an Aeronautical Life Support Fitter in the RAAF. Grew up in North West NSW but I currently live in Salamander Bay. I began studying massage in 2014 and studied fitness and Bowen Therapy as complimentary treatments.

          The team at Action Physio would like to thank everybody that voted for us over the past few months. We were notified last week that we were 1 of the 13 finalists in the Health Improvement Services category in 2019's Local Business Awards in the Hunter Region.
          &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
          Action Physiotherapy was established in 1994 by Regina and has changed and evolved through out the years, but the one constant is our awesome patients.Thank you to all our patients, clients, friends and family for your ongoing patronage and support.

          Did you know there were changes to the way that natural therapies are covered by private health insurance from 1 April 2019?
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h3&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          Even though we're now heading into July, you may have missed that in October 2017, the Australian Government announced changes to private health insurance, in an effort to make it more affordable and easier to compare.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          One of the key changes was the removal of 16 natural therapies from complying health insurance extras/combined policies.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
           ﻿
          &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
      
          From 1 April 2019 the following natural therapies will be excluded from the definition of private health insurance general treatment and will no longer receive the private health insurance rebate as part of a general treatment policy: Alexander technique, aromatherapy, Bowen therapy, Buteyko, Feldenkrais, Western herbalism, homeopathy, iridology, kinesiology, naturopathy, Pilates, reflexology, Rolfing, shiatsu, tai chi, and yoga.
          &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
&lt;div data-rss-type="text"&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
          Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Hypnotherapy, and Remedial Massageare still covered and there are no changes to Physiotherapy or Exercise physiology.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

          I am an ex-IT Systems Engineer and now a Full-time Accredited Exercise Physiologist.I am quite active, I love the outdoors and hiking in nature and I have lived overseas having travelled extensively to all continents.

          What made you want to become a Exercise Physiologist? How did you know it was the right career for you?

          I always had an interest in human movement since high school but found myself in an IT starting out. Later in life, I decided to change careers and get out from behind a computer screen and get up from a desk (for my own health) by focussing on helping people feel better by improving their lives through exercise. My job allows me to combine my technology skills with my exercise physiology knowledge.
         &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

          Not being able to completely “fix” a small number of patients by resolving their pain.

          What's your favourite meal/food to eat in Newcastle?

          A good quality steak is hard to beat. I don’t have a favourite place to eat, instead I like to try the diversity of different places for variety.

          At your initial consultation, your physiotherapist will conduct a detailed assessment to determine the diagnosis and possible causes of your injury.           What do I bring to my appointment?

          What are the financial arrangements for payment?

          Fees for private patients are due at the time of treatment. HICAPS and EFTPOS facilities are available for automatic claiming through your private health fund. WorkCover, 3rd Party MVA insurance and Veterans Affair patients’ accounts will be sent directly to the appropriate body.
