Action Physiotherapy is looking for a casual receptionist with a caring attitude and a strong work ethic; A proactive and reliable individual to support our staff and our community.

About the business

If you have been involved in a work related accident which has resulted in an injury, our physiotherapists can assess, diagnose and treat any workers compensation claim.


The team at Action Physiotherapy is here to help you through your Insurance claim, from
acute pain management right through to strength re-training.


So we can get started on treating your injury ASAP, we need the following from you:
- GP referral
- Workcover Medical Certificate
- Relevant details of your insurer (Claim number, case manager, contact details, etc).

We will invoice the insurer directly. Allowing you to focus on your recovery.

Medicare

The clinic is a modern multi-disciplinary health space nestled in the Darby Street Health Hub in Cooks Hill, Newcastle. Action Physiotherapy services include Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology and the getback exercise program.

We have a loyal and varied client base treating a variety of presentations from back pain, to post operative rehab, sports injuries, and general aches & pains.

We're looking to fill a role on Mon, Tues, Wed & Fri 3pm – 6pm and Thursdays 9am – 6pm.

What you will do:

  • Greet clients, manage walk-in's and be the primary contact for first time patents.
  • Assist in managing staff schedules, contacting clients, and daily schedule administration.
  • Contacting patients including online enquiries.
  • Data entry and scanning documents.
  • Process payments, invoicing, providing receipts, daily settlement processing and reconciliation, 
  • Using our practice management software (Cliniko).
  • Process Medicare, HICAPs claims, and managing work cover claims.
  • Manage stock, monitor supply, arrange orders as needed.
  • Assist with marketing when needed; prepare blogs, newsletters, social media posts, adjust internal signs.
  • Be prepared to clean and assist with the upkeep/cleaning of equipment. Bins emptied and taken out, and bathrooms maintained at a high standard.
  • Overall keep the clinic tidy and prepare areas for staff.

Skills and experience

What we need from you:

  • Motivated, positive and works well within a team environment.
  • Passionate about the health industry or willingness to learn about the different services we offer.
  • Previous experience working in a medical or allied health reception or administrative role (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communication skills oral and written (able to relate to a wide population, children, elderly, parents etc)
  • Strong organisation skills, self-direction and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong initiative to work without direct supervision.
  • Create and review processes to increase efficiency in the running of the clinic.
  • Previous experience using Cliniko (preferred but not essential)
