Covid-19 Update

Your health and safety during this pandemic

WE ARE OPEN - Appointments at the clinic are still available and we encourage all patients to continue their care, if you’re able to.

We are taking extra precautions to keep you and the Action team safe:

  • All patients are to wash their hands-on arrival.
  • All door handles, beds and high traffic areas are cleaned regularly.
  • If you have recently travelled overseas, are experiencing flu like symptoms or feeling generally unwell, please call us to postpone your appointment.
  • We are spacing patients out to adhere to the distancing rules. Please make sure you are on time for your appointments. If you're early, please wait in your car until your appointment time. If you're running late, call us. We can reschedule you, most likely for the same day.
  • Towels are always one use per patient and washing is done daily.

If you have a new injury or require "pre-hab" (pre-surgical rehabilitation) because your surgery has been postponed, please don't hesitate to call us and we can discuss your options. There are a lot of people in the Newcastle and the Hunter Region that have had their surgery cancelled or postponed to free up beds and health facilities. We understand this can be frustrating. This time is valuable and it can be utilised to prepare the body for surgery and facilitate a better outcome after the surgical intervention.

Are you one of our Getback patients? Are you a long term Action patient with a chronic injury? The AMA (Australian Medical Association) urges people to continue their care.

“People need to continue seeing their doctor, in person or via telehealth, for existing conditions and for regular health maintenance,” Dr Bartone said. It is also important to continue seeing your Musculoskeletal team. Delaying diagnosis and/or treatment can jeopardise recovery and put a strain on your mental health. Please do not put up with pain.

We are taking the next step to ensure your treatment and recovery continues during this pandemic. If you’re unable to attend an appointment at the clinic we have set up Telehealth facilities. You can read about our Telehealth services on our website, here -

Telehealth is a wonderful tool, enabling health care workers to treat patients while maintaining social distance.

Telehealth appointments with Regina and Nathan are available.
